Siliguri, 08th March: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a rally was organized by Siliguri’s Shri Jain Shwetambar Terapanth Mahila Mandal.
The procession commenced on Sunday morning from the Kanchenjunga Stadium, and toured various areas including Hillcart Road and Bidhan Road and finally concluded near the Terapanth Bhawan, Burdwan Road. Besides, a motorcycle rally was also held on behalf of an organization named ‘Muskan’, in which several women participated.
Meanwhile, the female journalists were felicitated today during a programme. The ceremony was attended by Pushpa Vaid, Central President of the Indian Terapanth Mahila Mandal, and many other dignitaries.
