Siliguri’s resident falls prey to online shopping scam

Siliguri, 27th January: Rathin Saha, a resident of Ward No. 40, purchased 100 coffee cups on an online website, 25 days ago. He also received a phone call from the website where he was asked to make a payment of Rs 3,950 to the company’s bank account.


However, even after completing the payment, he claims that he did not receive his package. He also alleged that the number from which he had received the call is now switched off.

Furthermore, Rathin Saha alleges that despite lodging a complaint at the Cyber ​​Crime Division of Siliguri Police Station, no necessary steps have been taken yet. He demanded proper investigation into the matter.
