Siliguri, 12th July: Keeping in mind the prevailing COVID-19 situation, Rath Yatra will be celebrated on low key this year as well and arrangements have been made to keep the chariot inside the temple. Siliguri Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma inaugurated the Yatra by pulling the rope of the chariot.
Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma said that Rath Yatra has been organized in compliance with COVID safety measures. “I feel lucky to get the opportunity to serve God here,” he added.
The public relations officer of Iskcon Mandir, Namkrishna Das said that Rath yatra has been organized inside the temple in compliance with the safety measures. In addition, a blood donation camp has also been organized.
