Siliguri, 12th August: In light of the increasing number of coronavirus cases, four wards, i.e. Ward No. 15, 17, 02 and 29 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation have been declared as containment zones and a complete lockdown has also been enforced in these wards for the next seven days. Besides, barricades have also been put in the areas.
It is to be noted that earlier too, different parts of the city were declared as containment zones. All shops excluding emergency services will remain closed in the containment zones. Strict police surveillance is likely to be kept for the next 7 days.
