Siliguri, 19th February: The Uttar Banga Safai Karmachari Samiti has been protesting for a long time in support of several demands. Due to the strike, the city’s cleanliness work has been discontinued and the common people are facing trouble due to the stench from the untended garbages.
Hence, Ward No. 19 Coordinator Mousumi Hazra, on Friday, took to the streets with a broom to clean the ward premises. The initiative was taken with the assistance of the ward committee. Hajra assured to continue with the cleanliness work in the coming days as well.
