Siliguri, 17th March: Amidst the coronavirus scare, chickens are being sold at 50 rupees in Siliguri’s Bidhan Market. Despite being sold at a lower price than any other place, the sale has decreased drastically.
The traders, in Bidhan Market, have been hoping for some sales since morning. Awareness posters, regarding coronavirus, have been put up in front of the shops. The posters urge the customers to stop believing rumors and also states that consuming chicken will not spread the disease. The traders stated rumors were spread over the consumption of chicken, due to which, they are facing huge losses.
