Siliguri, 04th January: The Bidhan Market Byabasayee Samiti launched an anti-encroachment campaign against the hogging of roads in the market area.
According to reports, several businesses have occupied a significant portion along the side of the road with the store items for a prolonged time. As a result, consumers and buyers face several difficulties commuting across the area. Compounding the issue, the roadside businesses frequently lead to the ongoing issue of traffic congestion in the area.
In the wake to end the difficulties, the Byabasayee Samiti launched the campaign, and the store items occupying the roads were subsequently removed. The members of the committee expressed optimism in continuing the campaign and cautioned strict action against hogging of roads.
