Siliguri, 28th April: Akash Mallik from Siliguri clinched gold in the ‘Fit Youth Classic Reborn’ natural bodybuilding competition held in Kolkata on April 27. Mallik’s victory has brought pride and glory to the city as the champion in the competition.
Reportedly, Akash Mallik returned to Siliguri after his triumph and shared his journey from facing financial challenges to becoming a bodybuilding champion. Initially working as a sanitation worker at the Mahananda Sporting Club, Akash received coaching in bodybuilding from Pappu Roy, the gym center coach.
In this regard, Coach Pappu Roy expressed immense joy and pride in Mallik’s success, highlighting Akash’s dedication and hard work that resulted in winning the gold medal in Kolkata. Pappu Roy emphasized the importance of fitness and healthy living, encouraging several addicted youths to choose a path away from drugs and towards a healthier lifestyle through gym activities.
