Siliguri, 18th December: The doctors of a private hospital in Siliguri were successful in curing a 100-year-old COVID-19 patient within 30 days.
Reportedly, there are several hospitals across the state that have cured critical COVID-19 patients before. However, treating a 100-year-old patient was a challenge for the hospital.
It has been learned that Parulbala Pal, a resident of Hakimpara in Siliguri, was admitted to a private hospital on November 16 following an illness where she tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Doctors said that the hospital had to face multiple challenges ever since the pandemic started. They claimed to save the lives of many critical patients. However, in this case, the challenge was much more due to the old age of the patient.
