Siliguri, 03rd January: A tragic incident surfaced where a youth from Siliguri jumped into the Teesta River from the Coronation Bridge in Sevoke. The young man has been identified as Gauranga Mandal, a resident of the Binoy More area of Dakshin Shanti Nagar.
According to reports, Gauranga left home on Wednesday morning. Later, in the afternoon the youth called a relative and claimed to commit suicide. Sources revealed that Gauranga jumped from the bridge into the river shortly after the conversation. Upon receiving the news, the family members of the youth left for Sevoke. However, the precise reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
