Siliguri, 30th January: In a tragic incident, a woman from Siliguri, who had traveled to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh bath, has been reported missing. The missing woman, Putul Roy, is a resident of DJ More in the Samar Nagar area under Pradhan Nagar police station in Siliguri.
Reports indicate that she had gone to the Maha Kumbh with a group from Siliguri. Her last phone conversation was with her son on Monday. Since then, the family has been unable to contact her. During the call, she informed her son that she was entering through Sector No. 17 and was in Sector No. 22 at the time of the stampede on Monday night.
The family has reported her disappearance to the Pradhan Nagar police station and has contacted the Maha Kumbh helpline numbers, but there has been no trace of her so far.
