Siliguri, 01st April: The nation-wide lockdown in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases has made a huge economical impact on the daily wagers and their families. In this regard, the government, various voluntary organizations, clubs and police have extended their helping hand towards the poor families.
Among such selfless heroes is Mallika Debnath, a resident of Samar Nagar area under Ward No. 46 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Mallika Debnath, along with her daughter and husband, has been preparing food at their home and feeding the helpless and poor people ever since the lockdown was imposed.
As per the report, Mallika distributes eatables among the needy every day in Champasari, Mallaguri, Darjeeling more and many other areas.
