Siliguri, 11th July: The Trinamool Congress is protesting against the hike in petrol, diesel, and cooking gas prices across the state.
The leaders and activists of Siliguri Town Trinamool Congress 1 and 2 staged a sit-in protest near the Junction petrol pump, on Sunday. Siliguri Municipal Corporation administrator Goutam Deb joined the protest by garlanding gas cylinders and cooking on a wood-burning stove.
In this regard, Goutam Deb said, “We are taking to the streets everywhere in Siliguri Municipal Corporation and Dabgram Fulbari area. In the coming days, there will be protests everywhere along with mass movements.”
Apart from Deb, the programme was attended by BoA member Ranjan Sarkar and other leaders and activists of the party.
