Siliguri, 22nd October: Siliguri is grappling with excitement with just a few days left until Kali Puja. The Netaji Subhash Sporting Club is set to unveil a massive 25-foot-tall idol of the goddess inspired by the one in Tarapith, for this year’s Kali Puja.
Reportedly, this will mark the first time a 25-foot idol is being created for Kali Puja in North Bengal, as the club is preparing to celebrate its 59th year of hosting the festival. In addition to the idol, attendees can expect spectacular lighting and intricate decorations for the pavilion.
The organizers have announced that the puja will be inaugurated on October 30. Throughout the festival, a variety of social initiatives and cultural programs will also be held.
