Siliguri, 04th August: The Special Operations Group and Detective Department of the Siliguri Metropolitan Police arrested a person with 518 grams of heroin. The arrested accused has been identified as Arvind Biswas, a resident of Assam.
It has been learned that the SOG Group Detective Department launched operations at the Fulbari Baniapara Canal More on Tuesday night and arrested Arvind Biswas with 518 grams of heroin worth 2.5 crore rupees. The NJP police filed a case against the accused under NDPS and sent him to Jalpaiguri court today.
According to police sources, the accused had been involved in drug trafficking for a long time.
