Siliguri, 14th January: In a significant development, the Madhya Pradesh police arrived in Siliguri with the third accused member of the notorious ‘Padri Gang’ in connection to the robbery case in the car showroom located at the Shivmandir area under the jurisdiction of the Matigara police station. The accused individual has been identified as Ajay Beldar alias Yadav, a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
It is to be noted that on June 30, the gang carried out the heist at the vehicle showroom by holding the security guard hostage and stealing the cash box. Subsequently, the name of Ajay Beldar surfaced during the interrogation of the arrested suspects. Upon further investigation, the authorities discovered that Ajay Beldar had previously been arrested by the Madhya Pradesh police in another case and was jailed at the moment.
In due course, a team of Siliguri Metropolitan Police issued a directive to the Madhya Pradesh Police from the Siliguri ACJM court to arrest the third accused, Ajay Beldar.
