Siliguri, 30th September: In a significant development, accused MD Abbas, arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a schoolgirl in Siliguri was presented before the Siliguri court for the fifth appearance. During this, the accused claimed to be innocent.
As per reports, in contrast to his earlier statement, accused Abbas claimed to be innocent in front of the camera. The accused stated that he was being framed and allegedly tortured. He added that he would reveal the truth in front of everyone. Earlier, during his third appearance, the accused confessed to his crime before the judge.
It has to be noted that, on August 21, a minor schoolgirl was brutally murdered in an area under the Matigara Police Station. Subsequently, the accused Mohammad Abbas was arrested by the police. On Saturday, the accused was produced before the Siliguri court for the fifth time for a hearing of the case, during which, he claimed to be innocent.
