Siliguri, 28th August: The court hearing for the school girl’s murder case from last year has been further postponed to September 4. Notably, the brutal murder of a school girl from the previous year has been unresolved for over a year as the court further rescheduled its final hearing.
Reportedly, the horrifying incident occurred on August 22 of the previous year, when the young student was killed in an abandoned area under the jurisdiction of the Matigara Police Station. The police arrested the accused, Mohammad Abbas, within six hours of the crime and the case had been forwarded to the Siliguri Court.
The victim’s family has been pursuing legal action to ensure justice for the victim. On Wednesday, the family arrived at Siliguri Court for the hearing for the verdict, only to find that the hearing was postponed to September 4.
