Siliguri, 31st March: The nation-wide lockdown in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases has made a huge economical impact on the daily wagers and their families. In this context, the Siliguri Sathi Sangha Library distributed ration among the needy on Tuesday.
Library President Mangal Pal, Secretary Suman Saha, member Basudev Saha, social worker Mallika Debnath, and many other dignitaries were present during the programme.
Secretary Suman Saha stated that 5 kgs of rice, 1 kg of pulses and vegetables were handed over to around 100 poor people. Besides, they also donated 11 thousand rupees to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
