Siliguri, 27th April: 45 gunny bags of rice meant for ration distribution were seized from a garage in the Satyen Bose road area in Shiv Mandir Attharakhai region.
The locals alleged that a ration dealer, Devdas Sinha Roy was illegally storing rice in the said garage. The matter was then reported to the police, who reached the spot shortly after and recovered the rice bags.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
