Siliguri, 20th August: The most significant Bengali festival Durga Puja (Durgotsava) is around the corner. In the wake of the days counting down, the Rathkhola Sporting Club of Siliguri began the preparations for Durga Puja with the customary “Khutti Puja”.
This year Rathkhola Sporting Club will observe its 58th anniversary of celebrating Durga Puja with the appealing conceptual theme of ‘Barnil’. According to Sona Chakraborty, the designer of Rathkhola Sporting Club’s puja pandal, visitors will be presented with an attractive ‘mandap’ with this year’s theme.
The Khutti Puja witnessed the presence of SMC Chairman Pratul Chakraborty, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Kamal Agarwal, senior residents from the neighborhood, and club members.
