Siliguri police rush two foreigners to the hospital amidst Coronavirus scare

Siliguri, 11th March: Due to the coronavirus scare, Sikkim has temporarily banned the entry of foreign citizens in the state. Meanwhile, Bhutan has also banned the entry of foreign citizens for 2 weeks as there have been reports of people suffering from the Novel Coronavirus in Bhutan as well.


On Friday morning, the locals sighted two Ukrainian citizens in Siliguri’s Bidhan Market. It has been learned that the duo recently traveled to Bhutan and reached Siliguri on Friday morning. Upon receiving the news, the Panitanki checkpost police reached the spot and rushed the duo to the Siliguri District Hospital for a health check-up. However, the doctors and police personnel informed that both the tourists did not show any symptoms of the virus. According to police sources, the duo was later dropped at the Bagdogra airport for their flight.
