Siliguri, 21st October: In a recent development, undercover officers from Siliguri police station successfully thwarted a planned robbery and arrested four miscreants late Sunday night. The arrested individuals have been identified as Vishal Rout, Pradeep Paswan, Chotu Hela, and Ranjan Sahni.
According to police sources, a gang of 10-12 miscreants had gathered in the market area of Sarvahara Colony to carry out the robbery. Acting on a tip-off, the undercover cops launched a campaign, foiling the plan. While four members of the gang were arrested, the others managed to flee upon seeing the police.
On Monday, the arrested suspects were presented in Siliguri court. The police have intensified their investigation and are actively searching for the remaining members of the gang.
