Siliguri, 19th April: A man was taken into custody in connection with his misbehaviour towards a minor girl. The accused has been identified as 38-year-old Bikash Roy.
According to the victim’s family, Bikash is a carpenter by profession and has frequently engaged in inappropriate behaviour towards their young daughter. As the situation escalated on Monday, the family lodged a complaint against him at Milan Pally Out Post after he repeated the same behaviour.
The accused was also reportedly beaten up by angry locals. The police acted on the complaint and arrested the culprit. He was produced before the Jalpaiguri court today.
