Siliguri, 13th April: The entire nation is under lockdown to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Despite repeated reminders to stay home and not to loiter unnecessarily, there have been complaints of people gathering at various corners around the city deliberately violating the lockdown.
Several people are also spotted buying commodities in the market area without maintaining social distance. Some also go out in public without wearing mouth masks. Upon confrontation, the violators often tend to make up excuses. All this raise the question, why aren’t the people of Siliguri taking the lockdown seriously?
