Siliguri, 24th May: Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh reached a nursing home in Pradhan Nagar to inquire regarding the Swasthya Sathi card benefits. The MLA was accompanied by other BJP leaders including Nantu Paul, Kanhaiya Pathak.
As soon as the team reached, they noticed that the rate chart had not been placed in the nursing home which defies the protocols. Meanwhile, in regards to the Swasthya Sathi card, the institution’s management said that so far no COVID-19 patient has brought the health card with them.
The MLA alleged that many sectors in the city are being negligent with the direct or indirect support of the ruling party. He further took a jibe at Goutam Deb, the Chairman of SMC’s BoA, for taking stock of the nursing homes outside the municipality area when numerous complaints concerning the nursing homes in the city are emerging. He claimed is to be a mere publicity stunt.
