Siliguri, 17th August: Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh met with the family of a minor victim of a gang rape incident that occurred in the city. The assault took place on Thursday when the minor was called and taken to an isolated area in the Kawakhali and was allegedly raped.
Following the incident, a complaint was lodged at the NJP police station, leading to the prompt arrest of four suspects, including three minors, on the same night.
On Saturday, MLA Shankar Ghosh visited the victim’s family and assured them of justice and full support. He pledged to provide all necessary assistance to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
