Siliguri Metropolitan Police launches E-Shiksha for children

Siliguri, 01st December: With the aim of eliminating illiteracy in the city and providing equal education to all, the Siliguri Metropolitan Police has initiated the E-Shiksha project. The Siliguri Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma today inaugurated the E-Shiksha school at Matigara police station. 


Reportedly, the E-Shiksha project has been started at the initiative of the SMP in collaboration with Happy Hearts Academy, Vishnu Education Trust and Laxmi Township. The classes will commence for the children from December 2. Under this project, primary computer education will be given to the children belonging to the weaker section of society. Furthermore, Navadisha School will be run for the children of the labourers, where all children will be given primary education.
