Siliguri, 10th December: A joint team of Enforcement Branch of Siliguri Metropolitan Police and cops of Pradhan Nagar Police Station busted a counterfeit lubricants manufacturing plant, on Friday. Reportedly, lubricants of reputed companies including Gulf, Castrol HP were being counterfeited. Gulf Lubricant Company reported the matter to the Siliguri Metropolitan Police and the latter immediately started investigating the matter.
During the operation, the team recovered a large quantity of counterfeit lubricants of reputed companies from a house in Samar Nagar area of Pradhan Nagar. The cops also recovered a large number of containers, logos and stickers of reputed companies. The accused and house owner Ashok Shikder is absconding and a search operation has been initiated.
