Siliguri, 19th May: In a bizarre turn of events, the railway authorities had inaccurately declared the assistant loco pilot of the freight train as ‘dead’. On Wednesday, Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb visited the assistant loco pilot undergoing treatment at a nursing home in Siliguri.
According to reports, the tragic incident has left the assistant loco pilot in a state of shock. Upon his visit, Mayor Gautam Deb expressed that the loco pilot was unable to communicate due to shock from the recent accident. He further added that medical professionals tending to the assistant driver assured him of the driver’s stable condition.
