Siliguri, 18th November: Under the initiative of Siliguri Times, in association with the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC), the final match of the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be screened live on a big screen at the Baghajatin Park, on Sunday. In this regard, on Saturday, Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb, along with police officers and SMC officials, visited the park and took stock of the preparations.
As per reports, a huge crowd is anticipated to visit the said park to witness the extravagant final match. To avoid traffic congestion, two-wheelers and other vehicles will not be permitted to be parked outside the venue. A parking zone will be arranged at the grounds of Siliguri College.
In this regard, Mayor Goutam Deb stated that police personnel will be deployed at all the gates of the Baghajatin Park. In addition, for the convenience of the spectators, the height of the screen will be increased for the final match. Currently, preparations are in full swing for the beautification of the Baghajatin Park in view of the event.
