Siliguri, 06th July: Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb, on Thursday, held a press conference at the party office of Trinamool Congress (TMC) located at Kankata More under Dabgram Gram Panchayat-II (GP). During the press conference, the Mayor stated that party workers who have left the party would not be brought back.
While addressing the media, this evening, the mayor said that those workers indulging in anti-party activities would be expelled from the party. He added that they would never be reinstated and the information was provided to TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee.
With regard to the developmental works in Dabgram-Fulbari area, the Mayor stated that many development works were done under the TMC government. The Mayor accused the MLA for not initiating any developmental works in the area. Furthermore, the Mayor sought the support of the citizens for further progress in the area. The Mayor also stated that he would request the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to bring Dabgram-Fulbari area under the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC).
