Siliguri Mangal Shah Dargah members distributed ration among 2000 needy amid lockdown

Siliguri, 19th April: In light of the COVID-19 lockdown, the members of Siliguri Mangal Shah Dargah, with the assistance of Siliguri police, distributed ration among 2 thousand poor people in Siliguri’s Ashraf Nagar, Jhankar More and various other areas of the city.


Maulana Nazir Alam stated that such an initiative has been taken on the auspicious occasion of Mangal Shah Tirodhan Divas. He further added that the day is celebrated with much enthusiasm every year, however, due to the coronavirus outbreak this year, the administration has instructed them to cancel all celebrations and distribute ration among the needy.

Besides, people were spotted reciting prayers since the early morning. Siliguri IC Sudipta Chakraborty and Khalpara Outpost OC Sandip Dutta were present during the programme.
