Naxalbari, 01st December: The Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad felicitated World Cup-winning cricketer Richa Ghosh during her visit to Naxalbari. A special programme was organised to honour her achievement.
Richa visited areas near Schooldangi and Surajbar under Maniram Gram Panchayat, accompanied by the Sabhadhipati, Sahakari Sabhadhipati, Sub-Divisional Officer Bikash Ruhela, members of the Mahakuma Parishad and Gram Panchayat officials.
She was later taken in an open jeep rally, where the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, various clubs and school students extended their greetings and felicitations.
Richa said she was overwhelmed by the love she received in Naxalbari and expressed her desire to work for rural development in the coming days.
