Naxalbari, 26th July: The Trinamool Congress (TMC)-led Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad celebrated its second anniversary with various community programs. On Friday, the Parishad’s development work report was released, and tricycles were distributed as part of the celebrations.
Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh, District Magistrate (DM) Preeti Goyal, and others handed over tricycles to four people with special needs at the Naxalbari Handicap Society. This year’s celebration emphasized humanitarian efforts, contrasting with the diverse programs held during the first anniversary.
In addition to the distribution event, a program for the visually impaired will be held at Matigara Matri Chaya. Furthermore, Arun Ghosh announced that a tree planting program will take place in August as part of the Van Mahotsav celebrations.
Karmadhyakshas of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Nirmalya Gharami, Priyanka Biswas, Nalini Ranjan Roy, and Pradhans from Maniram and Naxalbari, attended the function.
