Siliguri, 13th April: While the health workers around the world are being appreciated for their role as the frontline heroes in the battle against novel coronavirus, allegation of discrimination of a health worker by his neighbors have come to light from the Ward No. 34 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
Upon receiving the news, the State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb immediately took stock of the situation and met the health worker and his family members.
As per the report, the Minister has instructed the police to look after the needs of the family and see to it that they face no difficulties during the lockdown period. Deb further assured to provide all possible help to the family in the future.
