Siliguri, 30th July: Life in Siliguri is gradually returning to normalcy after the 14 days lockdown, which was enforced in view of the growing number of coronavirus cases, concluded on Wednesday.
Various markets and shops have resumed operations since this morning. However, the police are keeping strict surveillance to ensure whether the citizens are wearing masks and following all safety measures properly.
Meanwhile, Darjeeling District Magistrate S.Ponnambalam announced that lockdown will continue in the containment zones till August 31 as per the state’s directives.
