Siliguri, 14th December: Siliguri Girls High School is set to celebrate its 75th Foundation Day through a grand ceremony. A programme will be organized with the alumni and existing students.
Reportedly, arrangements have been made to show movies to school children at Dinbandhu Mancha. There will be Chhau dance, Himalayan Snow Lion Dance in Baghajatin Park. Renowned artists namely Aditi Munshi, Jayati Chakraborty, Lagnajita Chakraborty, Raghab Chatterjee will be present at the cultural programme.
As per the schedule, Aditi Munshi’s programme with special dances of different communities will be held in Baghajatin Park on January 02. Prabhat Pheri will be held in front of the school on January 03. Following which, Jayati Chakraborty’s performance will be held in the evening. Lagnajita Chakraborty’s performance is on the evening of January 04 and Raghav Chatterjee’s on January 05.
There will also be drawing and quiz competitions at the school. On Tuesday, Goutam Deb, president of the management committee of Siliguri Girls High School, held a press conference on the schedule and various issues.
