Siliguri, 03rd August: A desperate plea for help was made by Dhananjay Biswas, a resident of Siliguri, whose daughter Piyali Biswas is suffering from a severe kidney disease and urgently needs a transplant. The father made the appeal during a press conference at the Siliguri Journalist Club.
As per reports, Piyali, who initially developed a fever in 2018, was treated for a urinary infection at Siliguri District Hospital and a nursing home before being diagnosed with a kidney problem. She was later taken out of state for advanced treatment. Currently, Piyali is admitted at AIIMS in Delhi, where her family faces substantial financial strain due to the high cost of treatment.
The Biswas family has exhausted their resources, including selling all their land, in a bid to cover medical expenses. Dhananjay Biswas, now struggling to afford essential medicines, has issued a heartfelt request for financial assistance and a potential kidney donor to save his daughter.
