Siliguri, 06th April: In a heart-warming gesture, Surajit Mandal, a resident of the Madhya Shanti Nagar area, decided not to celebrate his son Reyan’s weaning ceremony that was scheduled to be held on March 26. Instead, the family distributed ration among 100 poor people near their residence.
Surajit Mandal and his wife stated that the nation-wide lockdown in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases has made a huge economical impact on the daily wagers and their families. Therefore, the couple decided to celebrate their son’s weaning ceremony by helping the needy.
