Siliguri, 01st August: The Siliguri East Bengal Fan Club joyfully celebrated the 104th Foundation Day of the illustrious East Bengal Club, as well as the 07th Foundation Day of the East Bengal Fan Club in Siliguri. To mark this momentous occasion, the East Bengal Road at Kanchenjunga Stadium was adorned with vibrant red and yellow balloons along with the club’s distinctive flags.
During the commemoration event on Tuesday, one of the ardent East Bengal supporters, Basudeb Ghosh, hoisted the club flag while lighting a lamp as a symbol of reverence. The festivities continued with a cake-cutting ceremony, enhancing the jubilant spirit among the members of the fan club. Additionally, participants gathered to delve into the glorious history of the club, reminiscing about its remarkable journey.
Addressing the gathering, the Executive President of the fan club, Madan Bhattacharya, expressed pride in the team’s performance in the Kolkata Football League. He emphasized that the team had showcased an outstanding performance during the current year’s league, and the fan club stands united in support of their beloved East Bengal Club.
