Siliguri demands justice for R.G. Kar victim, alleges conspiracy between CBI and state government

Siliguri, 13th January: A public gathering was organized in Siliguri on Monday, five months after the R.G. Kar incident, where justice is still pending. The event, arranged by several organizations, including the Medical Service Center and The Night is Ours, called for justice and raised concerns over allegations of evidence tampering and collusion between the CBI and the state government.

The gathering saw participation from protesting junior doctors, including Dr. Aniket Mahato and Dr. Asfaqulla Naya, as well as members of the West Bengal Joint Doctors Forum.

Dr. Aniket Mahato accused both the CBI and the state government of collusion in the case. He claimed that only Sanjay Roy was blamed, even though evidence suggests multiple individuals were involved. Mahato also pointed out the removal of the R.G. Kar principal and significant changes in police and administrative personnel. He argued that the focus on Sanjay Roy was an attempt to cover up the involvement of others.
