Siliguri, 09th September: Shahbaz Alam, a cricketer from Siliguri Agragami Sangha, secured a position in the Sikkim Ranji team.
Reportedly, Shahbaz’s name was announced on Tuesday on the official website of the Sikkim Cricket Association. As soon as the news circulated, an atmosphere of happiness was witnessed across the city.
In this context, Shahbaz stated that he hopes to perform well in the coming days. His coach Jayanta Bhowmick, too, congratulated him on his success.
Besides, the Siliguri Cricket Lovers Welfare Association felicitated Shahbaz with a cake and a bouquet. The president of the association Manoj Verma described Shahbaz as the pride of Siliguri.
