Siliguri, 19th March: Newly appointed Police Commissioner Syed Waquar Raza conducted an inspection of several key areas across the city to strengthen security arrangements ahead of upcoming festivals.
Keeping Ram Navami and Eid in view, the police administration has intensified preparedness to ensure safety and smooth management across Siliguri. On Thursday, the Police Commissioner reviewed traffic control, potential crowd management, and overall security measures on major city roads.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Quazi Samsuddin Ahamed, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Tanmay Sarkar, and ADCP Traffic Purnima Sherpa, along with other police officials.
The team visited multiple important locations across the city, assessed the situation on the ground, and issued necessary instructions to enhance security arrangements.
