Siliguri, 04th February: In an effort to tackle the ongoing blood shortage, Siliguri Commerce College organized a blood donation camp following Saraswati Puja.
According to reports, the camp commenced on Tuesday morning with a target of collecting 100 units of blood. Many students actively participated in the initiative, and as of the latest update, 40 units had been collected.
Speaking on the occasion, Sourav Bhaskar, representing Siliguri Commerce College, stated that the puja was conducted under the banner ‘Sobar Shikha, Sobar Saraswati’ as part of an initiative by the West Bengal Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP).
He added that the blood donation camp was organized to help mitigate the blood crisis, and several students came forward to contribute since morning.
