Siliguri, 29th October: In less than a month from reopening, Siliguri Bengal Safari Park has been shut down until October 31 as a safety measure.
It is to be noted that the park resumed services from October 2 after being closed for several months in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, keeping in mind the safety of animals and birds inside the park, the park authority has decided to close the park once again. Currently, sanitation work is being carried out in the entire park. Besides, swab tests of 117 workers have been taken.
Badal Safnath, DFO of Bengal Safari Park, said that sanitation work is underway at the park. Due to which, the park will remain closed till October 31.
