Siliguri, 30th August: The players of the Jalpaiguri District Pencak Silat Sports Association have brought glory to the academy with their accomplishments in the Khelo India Pencak Silat Women’s League- 2023 held in Kolkata.
According to reports, the Khelo India Penchak Silat League was organized in Kolkata commenced, on August 26 and 27. Significantly, 14 players from various districts across the state, including Siliguri district, participated in the tournament out of which 12 won 6 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Among them, Papia Ghosh, an exuberant athlete, won 2 gold medals.
Additionally, the winners were awarded by Councillor Shampa Nandi from Ward No.35 under the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) and former Councillor Jaideep Nandi, on Wednesday.
