Siliguri, 30th March: A perfect example of communal harmony and unity has been witnessed in Siliguri on the occasion of Ram Navami. Muslim youths in Siliguri’s Hashmi Chowk were seen distributing water bottles among Hindu devotees walking during the Ram Navami procession. Setting a perfect example of how we are bonded with love and harmony.
It is to be noted that a huge procession is taken out in Siliguri every year on the occasion of Ram Navami. This year too hundreds of people participated in the procession in the city. However, Muslim youths arranged for drinking water for the people in the Ram Navami procession who had walked several kilometres. Some local Muslim youths offered water and fruit juice to the people who were in the Ram Navami procession.
Shahnaz Hussain, Mohd Sohail, Mohd Saddam, Bairaj Hussain, Mohd Chand and Mohd Fiyaz Ahmed, and many other Muslim youths offered around 5000 bottles of water and fruit juices to the participants of the procession. The Hindu devotees in the procession were also happy with the kind gesture of the youths and several people also took selfies with the youth.
