Siliguri, 25th September: A shocking theft unfolded in the Netaji Pally area of Siliguri Ward Number 37 where the thieves made off with valuables and cash worth lakhs. The incident led to a widespread commotion in the entire region.
On Tuesday morning, local teacher Rama Nandi of the Netaji Pally area, left for school. After returning home later in the evening, Nandi found that the door of the house was locked from inside. Additionally, the grill of the window was allegedly tampered with and broken and cash and jewellery were stolen.
Nandi alerted the locals about the incident and subsequently, the police were informed. The police officers have initiated an investigation into the theft.
