Siliguri, 30th July: The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) will take to the streets across the state from August 04 to 12 with multiple programmes. The state leaders of SFI made the announcement during a press conference at Anil Biswas Bhawan on Friday.
SFI state secretary Srijan Bhattacharya said that a citizens’ convention has been organized in Kolkata’s College Street on August 04. Rallies and Path Sabha will be held across the state on August 05.
From August 06 to 10, there will be a mass signature programme across the state demanding COVID vaccination of all students, an increase in the number of school-college seats after Madhyamik and Higher Secondary, and waiver of school fees. On August 11, there will be a memorandum submission program and on August 12, there will be a symbolic demonstration in at least 1,000 places across the state with chalk, duster, and books.
